Cappuccino is only for breakfast; take it with something sweet (much better if it’s a croissant). If you really want it, you can ask for one as a dessert, but you should know it is not gonna happen that mamma will prepare it for you.
Pasta and rice are main courses, only the Ossobuco alla milanese (an specialty of Milan cuisine) is served with rice on the side. Serving pasta on the side is considered sacrilege.
There’s not a single dish in the Italian cuisine that could go well with ketchup: tomato sauce is just enough!
All condiments must be added after the pasta have been drained and served in a plate. Do not add oil or other type of fatty condiments to the water in which the pasta will be cooked.

Every mamma has learned to cooked from her mamma who has learned from her mamma as well and so on. It is a tested system. What is the main point every mamma teaches her daughter about cooking?
